We took a little shopping break to smile for the camera.

Sunday Ritual

For the past few weeks we have been walking to the ice rink for a Sunday morning skate after a breakfast of banana pancakes and syrup (I mention syrup because Shin's plate is a pool of it).

Unlike the past two years, Shin has really enjoyed skating this season. Every time he gets his skates on, he is more confident.

The past few days have been spent indoors, resting, getting big brother healthy and sitting back in the rocking chair.

After six days of torture, Shin is finally is well enough to hold his little sister. He was so unbelievably happy. This of course makes me so unbelievably happy.

Good Morning!

We woke up this morning at the cabin to a winter wonderland! Shin had to throw a few snowballs before I got him back inside to rest.

Despite having our immunizations nine days ago, Shin picked up a flu bug along the way. Unfortunately his little body needed a few extra days to build up immunity. We had a rough night with fever and cough and very little sleep. Now the extra hard part will be keeping him away from his sister.

Weekend Away

We packed up the car and braved the border crossing for a weekend in Seattle. Originally we had planned to spend one night but once we got there we quickly decided two was best!
